The Cambodian Flag

The blue symbolizes the country's royalty. The red respresents the nation and the white represents the religion. The emblem of the temple represents the structure of the universe. The Cambodian flag is the only flag in the world that features a building.

5 Fun Facts about Cambodia

1. Angkor Wat is the Eighth Wonder of the World. The word Angkor is derived from Sanskrit and means city. Wat means temple.

2. The birth rate is three times higher than the death rate.

3. 50 per cent of the population is aged under 15.

4. 1 in 236 Cambodians is disabled, making Cambodia the most disabled country on earth.

5. It is considered rude to point feet, particularly the soles, towards a person or things, so it is proper to tuck them away when sitting on the floor or on a chair.
